The Insolvency Services has disqualified Samantha Fairweather, the sole director of an Essex construction firm, for eight years following a series of fraudulent activities. The company accepted more than £300,000 towards home improvement work that it failed to complete whilst insolvent, owing more than £100,000 in tax. Fairweather also breached the Covid Bounce Back Loan Scheme regulations by misusing £11,000 of the £50,000 loan for non-business purposes.
