The Bank of England (BoE) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published policy statement PS24/12: Digital Securities Sandbox joint Policy Statement and Final Guidance to launch the Digital Securities Sandbox (DSS). The DSS will allow participants to use developing technologies, such as distributed ledger technology (DLT), to undertake the activities traditionally associated with central securities depositories and trading venues.
