SCHEDULE 2 The Roll: [Powers of the Council] and Ancillary Provisions

Section 11

. . . The Council (as registrar of solicitors) for the purpose of maintaining the roll as correctly as is reasonably practicable [shall have power]—

(a)     to remove from the roll the name of any solicitor who has died;

(b)     to send to any solicitor at his address as shown in the roll a letter enquiring whether he wishes to continue to have his name included in the roll and intimating that if no reply is made within the period of 6 months beginning with the date of the
