124  Income support

(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý A person in Great Britain is entitled to income support if—

[(a)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he is of or over the age of 16;]

[(aa)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he has not attained the qualifying age for state pension credit;]

(b)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he has no income or his income does not exceed the applicable amount;

(c)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he is not engaged in remunerative work and, if he is a member of a [couple], the other member is not so engaged; .Ìý.Ìý.

[(d)ÌýÌýÌýÌý except in such circumstances as may be prescribed, he is not receiving relevant education;]

[(e)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he falls within a prescribed category of person; .Ìý.Ìý.

[(ea)ÌýÌýÌýÌý he has accepted a claimant commitment;]
