[6A  Procedure for licence applications]

[(1)     This section applies to any application—

(a)     for a licence [(but this is subject to [subsections (1A) and (1B)])]; or

[(b)     for the modification of a licence under section 6(4), (6) or (6B)].

[(1A)     At any time when regulations made under section 56FC are in force, this section does not apply to an application for a smart meter communication
