(1)聽聽聽聽 A person aggrieved by the local authority's rejection of鈥

(a)聽聽聽聽 an initial notice[, amendment notice] or a public body's notice, .聽.聽.

(b)聽聽聽聽 a plans certificate, a final certificate, a public body's plans certificate or a public body's final certificate, [or

(c)聽聽聽聽 a transfer certificate and a transfer report,]

may appeal to a magistrates' court [the appropriate court or tribunal] .聽.聽..

(2)聽聽聽聽 On an appeal under subsection (1) above, the court [or tribunal] shall鈥

(a)聽聽聽聽 if it determines that the notice[, report] or certificate was properly rejected, confirm the rejection, and

(b)聽聽聽聽 in any other case, give a direction to the local authority to accept the notice[, report] or certificate.

[(2A)聽聽聽聽 Where a local authority cancels an initial notice, in whole or in part, by giving a notice (a 鈥渃ancellation notice鈥) under section 52A(4)鈥
