Injunctive relief definition
What does Injunctive relief mean?
In the context of family relationships, the powers of the court to give protection to a victim of domestic violence, or to secure financial assets in order to prevent their dissipation, or the setting aside of financial transactions made with the intention of defeating a financial claim.
The Family Law Act 1996, pt 4 enables a victim of violence to apply for protective orders to prevent violence or threats of violence and/or to remove an abusive partner from the home or from an area around the home.
