SW1.3.3 Wealth tax | Switzerland

Switzerland

There is no federal wealth tax. However, cantons levy taxes on the net wealth of individuals. If the individual is a Swiss resident, their worldwide wealth is subject to wealth taxes. Real estate or permanent establishments abroad are not taxed in Switzerland but considered for the determination of the applicable tax rate.

Tax for individuals who are taxed on their real estate or permanent establishments located in Switzerland is limited to the assets located in Switzerland (AngloInfo).

The whole capital is taxed, ie property and rights which belong to the individual. Capital includes:
