Malcolm Gunn has over 40 years of experience in advising on UK tax matters, principally in the context of private clients and trusts. After working in tax departments of both accountants and solicitors, he joined Tolley Publishing in 1986 and for 16 years was editor of the weekly magazine Taxation. Since 2004 he has been engaged in consultancy and advisory work, mostly in the field of capital taxes but also including tax planning for non-domiciliaries, family companies and property investment businesses. He has continuing involvement with a number of professional publications. Malcolm Gunn was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award in the Lexis Nexis 2004 Tax Awards and is a member of the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers.
