24 听翱蹿蹿别苍肠别蝉

[(A1)聽聽聽聽 A person (鈥淎鈥) commits an offence if A purports to enter into a marriage with another person (鈥淏鈥) knowing that either or both鈥

(a)聽聽聽聽 A is already married to or in a civil partnership with a person other than B, or

(b)聽聽聽聽 B is already married to or in a civil partnership with a person other than A.

(A2)聽聽聽聽 A person who commits an offence under subsection (A1) is liable鈥

(a)聽聽聽聽 on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to a fine (or both),

(b)聽聽聽聽 on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum (or both).]
