Is a lawyer in the English Speaking Caribbean and in particular Barbados, practising in various aspects of civil (private) law and specializing in labour, estates/succession, real estate (including conveyancing and mortgages), private international law, public law (judicial review), environmental law, medical/health law, shipping/maritime, banking and electronic/data protection. He attained both his Bachelors and Masters in Law from the University of the West Indies and is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Mediation and Conflict Resolution.
He also has advised the World Bank in Its Business Ready Project as a consultant on employment, electronic transactions, financial law, banking, commerce, lending and anti-money laundering.
He is also an ADR Specialist including in Mediation and Arbitration and sits on several committees and boards relative to same. He has served on the Executive Committee of CIArb Caribbean for nearly a decade and is its current Honorary Secretary as well as member of its training faculty and education and training committee. He has also been a member of the London based Prime Dispute for nearly a decade and is amongst its top contributors.
Ebrahim also currently serves as an Expert for the United Nations Independent Redress Mechanism of the Green Climate Fund.
Ebrahim has also been affiliated with the Geneva International Dispute Resolution Institute for a few years and is a member. He contributed to their 2023 Global Forum on Artificial Intelligence in the Legal Profession held at the United Nations in Geneva and was an original signatory and contributor to the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION ON THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION.

Maurisha A. Robinson is a co-founder and co-managing partner of the law Firm. She has an accomplished career in the areas of Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Offshore Law and Real Property Law and has distinguished herself in providing sterling service in a wide range of matters including: numerous multimillion dollar real estate transactions; legal advice to high net worth individuals and multimillion dollar investors as to asset management strategies and/or options; real estate developments and purchases; immigration and tax advice to clients (individuals and entities). She also advises and assists clients on varying areas of international companies’ incorporation, trusts, Wills and Estate planning.
Maurisha actively engages in litigation and negotiation settlements, including, personal injuries, breach of contract and debt collection matters. She is the Firm’s main point of contact for intellectual property matters as well as for economic citizenship applications and as such provided remarkable service to her clients in not just acquiring a second passport but also helping them in getting settled on the island. It is her belief that excellent client care is crucial regardless of one’s field of practice and this belief coupled with her dedication, efficiency and effective time management skills has enabled her to serve her clients effectively and above par. Maurisha was educated in the West Indies. She has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of the West Indies, 2002 (Upper Second Class Honours).
She is also a graduate of the University College of the Caribbean where she attained a Diploma in Human Resource Management (Honours), 2004. In 2007, Maurisha was awarded a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies (Upper Second Class Honours) and graduated from the Norman Manley Law School in 2009 with a Legal Education Certificate. Maurisha has been called to the Bars of Jamaica and St. Christopher & Nevis. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society and is also the Vice President of the Nevis International Service Providers Association.

Rhyan Elliott is a Senior Associate at Higgs & Johnson, Counsel & Attorneys at Law, and is a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring, and Financial Services, Insurance Law and Regulation Practice Groups.
Rhyan has practised extensively in various areas of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on complex disputes with a cross-border element, including high-value asset recovery, insolvency and enforcement.
Rhyan has experience representing both individual and institutional clients, including Insolvency Practitioners, Banks, Trustees and Investment Managers, at all stages of litigation, including contested interlocutory applications, at trial and on appeal.
As a leading junior, Rhyan regularly appears as both junior and sole counsel before the Industrial Tribunal, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal of The Bahamas and has also appeared as Junior Counsel on behalf of the successful parties before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
Rhyan is a member of the Bahamas Bar Association Civil Bar Committee (serving on the Commercial Bar sub-committee), INSOL International, the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA), the Society of Construction Law (UK) and the Commonwealth Lawyers’ Association (and is a former member of its Young Lawyers’ Committee).
